Surrounded by Love

My Valentine Jeff and I have a date to celebrate the day—tickets to see Rosanne Cash perform at The Lensic. I have a card for him, and I am sure he will have one for me, too. But I don't need a valentine to remind me that I am loved. Every day I am the fortunate beneficiary of care and thoughtfulness from Jeff, from my family and my friends.

The world is always sending me reminders. Valentine-like hearts appear all around, some meant just for me and most meant for all of us.

Ra Paulette cave heart in Ojo Caliente with graffiti additions from local lover vandals.

One of my very favorite hearts ever, a chalk message from my sweet granddaughter Sabina. Waiting for me on her driveway in Houston when I arrived for a visit..

Papel picado love from Chris and Veronica Waters’ beautiful wedding, May 2018.

Double love from atop a chapel in Chimayo.

Even a heart of stone looks like valentine to me.

Love locks on Le Pont des Arts in Paris where we added our own. Unfortunately, the weight of all that love brought a section the bridge crashing down in 2015, not to be replaced.

Corazon, my Mexican milagro, because love is a kind of miracle.

Wishing you all Love and Happiness.
